Supporters

The nineteenth annual giving campaign raised $27,000, with contributions from 234 individual donors.

Generous gifts also came from Camp Council, The Good People Fund, Hannah Langendorf Fund, The Herbert G. Feldman Charitable Foundation, Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Gloria Moldoff Memorial Fund, Rittenhouse Foundation, Gilroy and Lillian Roberts Charitable Foundation, The Susquehanna Foundation, United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and the Ford and Pfizer Foundations Matching Gifts Programs.

The sum of these donations enabled FHBS to increase outreach to Jewish women in crisis. We are grateful to have so many supporters who understand and embrace our mission.

Looking for a creative way to support FHBS?  We can help…

• Your birthday or anniversary is coming up, and you know that friends and family are wracking their brains to find a gift that will please you.  Make it easy and help a Jewish woman in need.  Suggest a contribution to FHBS.  We will send a letter of appreciation to the donor and a celebratory card to you!

• There are times when you want to show appreciation or express thanks and words don’t seem sufficient.  Keep a supply of FHBS mitzvah cards on hand for such occasions.  There is ample room to write a personal note, and you can enclose a pretty bookmark or a favorite poem or inspirational message.

• An FHBS mitzvah card is perfect for people you want to remember on a birthday, anniversary or just to say hello.  It tells them that you are thinking of them as well as others in the community who are less fortunate.

• You are hosting a celebratory occasion – party, holiday or life cycle event, and you know that your guests will bring gifts of flowers, wine or candy.  Let them know in advance that a contribution to FHBS would be the best gift of all!

• The tzedakah boxes in your house are overflowing.  Take the contents to the nearest bank with a free coin counting machine.  Look at the total, register surprise at the amount you have accumulated, dash off a check to FHBS and start all over again.

• FHBS can enhance your simcha with beautiful place cards, inscribed with the message of your choice and the names and table numbers of your guests.  Envelope add-ons can be coordinated with the color scheme of the event.  Forego “favors” and make a strong statement about your values and priorities.

There are endless possibilities.  If you have an idea, FHBS is happy to work with you.  Every time you make a donation, our treasury grows and our outreach expands.  But our overhead never increases.  Please place FHBS at the top of your priority list for giving.
