Emergency Aid

$76,949 distributed

I am so appreciative for the assistance I was given so that I could have the clutch and cable for the power entry door of my modified van replaced. My van was purchased in 2003 and has seen a great deal of use. It is so important to me that I remain independent as long as possible. Using a power chair in our society is difficult enough without being dependent on transport services. F.A., Age 75; Auto Repair $550.50

During the fiscal year that ended April 30, 2016, FHBS assisted 98 clients. One hundred and fifty-four grants were issued; the average grant was $500.00.  Shelter, medical services and supplies and utilities continued to be the top requests for aid. Support for this program was provided by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
